Travel to ASU from Phoenix Skyharbor airport and the Hilton Hotel
The ASU campus is very well served by the Phoenix Light Rail system. The train stop at the intersection of 44th Street and Washington Street is the nearest one for both the airport and the Hilton Garden Inn hotel. To get to ASU from the 44th St and Washington stop take the first east bound train and get off at the University Avenue/Rural Road stop. The ride takes less than 15 minutes. You can purchase one-way tickets with cash or credit cards using the automated ticket dispensers on each platform.
The Symposium takes place in the auditorium of the Biodesign Institute at ASU which is located a half block southwest of the University Avenue/Rural Road stop on the light rail (see map below).
Airport to the Hotel - Use the Free Hotel Shuttle:
Speakers arriving at Phoenix Skyharbor International airport can take advantage of the free shuttle bus to get to the Hilton Garden Inn hotel. After collecting your baggage, locate the hotel courtesy phones and dial 05 for the Hilton Garden Inn for instructions on how to be picked up. The shuttle bus runs 24 hours.
Hotel to the Light Rail - Walk or use the Hotel
The Hilton Garden Inn hotel is a short walk from the light rail stop at the junction between 44th Street and Washington St. The hotel shuttle can also be reserved to reach the light rail.
Airport to ASU - Use the Airport Shuttle and Light
To get to the light rail from the airport take the free silver bus shuttle service from any of the airport terminals. It will take you to the light rail stop located at the junction of 44th Street and Washington St.
Visitor parking for the Biodesign Institute is in the Terrace Road Parking structure just west of Rural Road on Terrace, south of the Institute. (Parking charges: $2/hr.; $8/day. Cash only.)
